Big News: AdvicePay Now Integrates with Zapier!

Introduction
AdvicePay has been a top choice for billing and invoicing within the tech stacks of financial advisors nationwide, but its number one drawback has been its lack of integration with external platforms. Despite having a powerful platform, the inevitability of key payment data needing to be manually moved from one app to the next has resulted in advisors spending time and energy on a menial task that takes their focus away from their clients.
Thankfully earlier this summer, AdvicePay formally announced an integration with Zapier, instantly expanding their communication with over 8,000 new platforms found in Zapier's app directory. Now, advisors can create automated workflows to connect AdvicePay to other key pieces of their tech stack, including Google Workspace, Microsoft 365, Jotform, Calendly, and many, many more.
So, what exactly can advisors do with this integration advancement?
Features of the AdvicePay-Zapier Integration
AdvicePay's new integration with Zapier has a variety of triggers and actions that can not only move data at the payment level, but also at the individual client and advisor levels. This gives users leverage to automate several key areas of the app, using the following functionality in Zapier:
- Agreement Completed
- Invoice Paid
- Subscription Activated
- Subscription Cancelled
- Create Client
- Create Invoice
- Create Subscription
- Find Advisor
- Find/Create Client
- Get Advisors
- Get Invoice by ID
- Get Invoices
- Get Subscription by ID
- Get Subscriptions
This array of functionality gives users a handful of new automation options. How to Set Up the AdvicePay-Zapier Integration
Unlike the majority of Zapier's integrations, their connection with AdvicePay is actually a private connection. This means that you will not see AdvicePay within Zapier's public app directory, and instead need to enable the integration via an invite from AdvicePay.
You'll need two things at your disposal in order to receive access to this invite:
- A Zapier account (free plan is available, but any multi-step zaps require a paid plan)
- An AdvicePay account that is at least on their Professional plan. Essential plan users do not have access to this feature.
Once these two items have been set up and you're logged into both, you can follow the instructions below to connect AdvicePay to Zapier:
- In AdvicePay, access your profile dropdown in the top right, then click Account Settings.
- Under Account Settings, click the tab called Authorized Applications.
- Locate Zapier from the list, and then click the Connect button alongside it.
- A new window will open, saying that you've been invited to use AdvicePay on Zapier. Click the orange button at the bottom that says Accept Invite & Build a Zap.
Next time you go to build a zap and access the list of apps, search for AdvicePay, and it will appear within the list.
