Introduction

Last week we covered integrating your Jotform with other applications. This week, just to wrap everything up, we will explore some fun and creative uses for responsive forms in a bit more detail. If you haven’t been following along so far, this may not be the best post to dive into. I recommend starting from the beginning (or at least from the “Form Builders” post from 8 weeks ago).

Jotform Summary

In the past few posts, we grabbed our scuba gear, hit the digital beach and dove into the murky binary waters of form building:

  1. We walked through the sandy dunes of form builders. From the backshore, we discussed the sandy berms of data-gathering, the generality of form building applications and why you need one, while mentioning while we like JotForm. TLDR: longevity, practicality and pricing.
  2. We dipped our toes in the water and got started with the Jotform Application, discussing how to create an account, navigate the site and other useful tips and tricks. Then, we left the shore and started laying the foundation for our expedition in building a form.
  3. We dove into the water and started creating our form.
  4. We submerged ourselves in practical conditional logic and explored the depths of utility.
  5. Finally, we built our first form and brought our adventure to an end by integrating it with tools like Google Sheets, Google Drive and Mailchimp.

There are many form building applications out there, but our personal favorite is Jotform. While we don’t get any kickbacks or recognition for promoting Jotform, we do get peace of mind knowing that it’s a reliable, cost-effective form builder that has been around for a long time. We have tried other applications, but find that Jotform exceeds our needs and expectations.

Internal Ideas for a Jotform

Forms are not only practical from a client standpoint. There are many internal (and very practical) applications for Jotforms. If you are a solo-preneur, artist or do niche/hobby work that requires you to occasionally hire someone for services, you can create responsive:

  1. Employment Agreements
  2. Non-Disclosure Agreements
  3. Non-Compete Agreements
  4. Engagement Terms / Contracts

*Each can include a mandatory company newsletter sign-up that can be integrated into Active Campaign, Mailchimp, MailerLite, Constant Contact, etc.

These forms, as previously mentioned, can be configured to send auto-emails upon submission, with pdf copies of the filled/ signed document. Furthermore, the PDF copies can automatically get stored into your document repository (Drive, Box, Dropbox and more). This not only makes it easy to create a simple template email with employment-related documents, but it will streamline the employee onboarding process and document management.

For more ideas, click here to preview our Jotform templates. They include comprehensive conditions for rapid operational use.

Each of our forms includes a comprehensive video series on how to edit and use the form. While most of our forms are primarily used by Financial Advisors / Planners, Consultants and Attorneys there are some that are non-industry specific and the others can be customized further using our Jotform training courses. Purchasing the form will enable you to book a discounted Coaching Session with us to help you edit/modify the form for your specific needs if you need additional assistance.

Next Post

In the next post, we will go through some quality of life tips in Gmail that could help you save time. If you found this helpful, like, comment and share. Chances are there are many people in your professional network that would benefit from this.

Also feel free to think of creative uses for forms: you could potentially design a scoring calculator for your childrens’ efficiency and possibly create a Weekly Allowance Justification Form, Total Nerding Time (TNT - because nerd time is the bomb) or a Total Screen Time Justification Form. Those are terrible, authoritative examples, but the possibilities are endless.

If you have any questions, feel free to ask. We’re here to help! Shoot an email to [email protected] or click here to see our form templates for sale.
